My Bio

an italian self-taught artist who does enjoy representing swords and fantasy stuff on more than a way. mostly swords, anyway.

Post Spotlight

Ehy there! i am an italian freelance illustrator with a thing for melee weapons, mainly sword. If you might be interested in making your weapon idea a reality, either to just visualize it or as a proper asset, let me know and feel free to dm! Though here i'm mostly showing examples of medieval fantasy stuff, i'm open to all themese, like scifi or firearms; it's just that this is what most people ask me to do. The prices are: - sketch only - 20$ - lineart and flat colors - 50$ - lineart and shaded colors - 100$ - realistic rendering without lineart - 250$ These are mostly just to give an idea of range for every style, but it can depend on the complexity of the request, the number of pieces and eventual backgrounds. as a last thing, if you want to commission me, try to gather as many references that you can, be it images or other stuff, it greatly helps.

"Hello there!"
Thank you for watching!
I upload Fridays

you're welcome!

out of pure curiosity, may i ask you what method you do use? it's because it's a rellay interesting style, that looks like photobashing, or other kind of photomanipulation, but not quite, it still looks painted. it's really cool.

I open the previous file and save as the new one. Remove effects, blade decoration up till there is only the blade and the guard. I move the guard away and.
1A) Start basic painting something with brushes
or
1B) Start basic selections and warp them into shapes
2) The previous items on the side are resources. They are warped into a new shape, recolored.
3) I put the current version randomly to the side and use parts of it as a resource to reassemble something different. I may add to canvas size to use the older version as a B item
4) Make some kind of color harmony.
5) Make the shiny parts, overpaint, assemble the feeling of it. Layer merges, shadows and stuff
6) Effects are placed like fog, fire etc
7) Is it ok? Then restart from step 3.

that's really interesting, thanks!

Thanks for the favorite!
Thank you for the watch, much appreciated!
